Been here a few times now, every time the service is lovely, the food is amazing. We've been here on Fridays when the live music is on and it's so pleasant. Highly recommend
First visit here today, we fancied somewhere different for breakfast and some friends had suggested Whinstone View a while back. Waze tried to take us somewhere else, but we seen a signpost for it. The place is quite big, and not obvious of where to actually go, but we found our way and parked up. Again, it’s not entirely obvious of where to go, we followed our instincts, and we found the right place. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere we wanted, once we picked a table, we were told that one was reserved. Typical us, but it wasn’t obvious. We sat down and a lady came over to see what drinks we wanted, there was a dairy free option, so we picked our drinks, and had a look at the menu. We decided on a full English and an eggs benedict. The drinks came and we didn’t have to wait long for the food. The food was all well cooked , very hot and the right amount (though I do prefer 2 sausages). The menu does say no swaps, but I don’t like Black pudding. The food was really decent quality, the Oat latte was great too. The staff cleared the plates and were very friendly and polite, asking if everything was ok on a couple of occasions. We paid the bill, there was no pressure to tip, and we will certainly be coming back.
Sunday lunch was lovely. Veg was a bit al dente but was very nice . Next time I trying the burgers... dog friendly and we sat inside. Quiet when arrived but filled up quick
My family and I hired the private dining room for my retirement 'do' on Saturday 30th March and had a lovely afternoon. My guests had travelled from all over the country so it was nice to have such a pleasant room to ourselves for a good old catch up and celebration. It was set out really well, the food and service were great and the atmosphere was perfect. Thank you to all the staff at Whinstone View for making it a very special afternoon.
Stayed overnight in kuki lodge. Excellently priced with 2 courses and a drink plus breakfast in the morning included. Excellent for couples wanting a night away or a short break. Really quiet of an evening to just listen to the sound of nature, minimal noise from passing traffic. Every lodge has excellent facilities and a hot tub. 10/10!
Thank you for a lovely day today celebrating my 70th birthday. The food was excellent and the customer service was great. Nothing was too much trouble. We had booked the terrace however the weather was so cold, the venue rang us to ask if we would like to go upstairs for our party which worked well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day
Visited on a sunny Friday afternoon to eat from the Summerfeest menu. Excellent value. The food was all good, but the Thai Duck Noodle Broth especially so! Lots of friendly servers, the service was nice and quick. Would thoroughly recommend.
What a lovely restaurant and place to go. It was recommended by my sister and we had a great time catching up, over great food. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely book ahead and the car park was busy, because of a craft market that was going on.
